I firmly believe our industry is lacking asking the home owner if they would like to add protectant. Wen. Your educating the client on the benefits it’s a no brainer why they should protect their investment. 

Why offer protectant? First all modern carpets come with it from the factory under many names. However all protectants need to be renewed. It is recommended into order to keep stain resiliency protectants be added once every 12-18 mths. And more often in commercial applications such as restaurants. 

After providing Total Guard you can expect to see much less soiling for a much longer time. At one restaurant we do without protectant carpets take 2.5 hrs to clean. If we apply protectant soil loads are so much less we shave off 45 mins cleaning. The owners are happier and we are out the door faster. Faster service means happy customers and more profit for you. 

One issue with protectant is how you apply. It takes a light mist directly faced at the textile you’re protecting. Airborne is a waste so use sparingly. It is common that adding protectant is often billed as 1/2 of the price of the normal bill. For example if your bill to the customer is $100, you’d charge $50 to add protectant. Customers love the fact that spots will be so much easier for them to clean after application. Sell them Between Clean and viola your customers can blot out spots on their own without using terrible products like Resolve.

Tile and grout cleaners take note. Why are you not sealing them? Old methods of using a small roller brush take forever. Flat mop on Total Guard. Surely it will not provide much protection on non porous tile. But it will make it easier for the customer to keep their tile clean for many months. However for grout, it’s life changing. The speed it can be applied is amazing. Grout should be resealed once a year and most home owners do not do that. With Total Guard it’s easy, and fast to apply with low to no odor. Simply flat mop it on and after it dries your customer will love you for sealing it and the ease of their daily maintenance. 

Whike to some it’s odd to have a product that can protect carpets, rugs upholstery and even tile/grout the science behind it is amazing. Think of a a product like rain x on your windshield. There is no negative but it works great on glass. But needs to be reapplied from time to time. 

On textiles it’s usually always there from the manufacturer we have to reapply it. If your tired od using smelly, high voc, offense protectants it’s time to switch to the industries most pure, non filler, formula made to date. If we offer it, it works!
